Product Care Engineer

Then we have an exciting position for you as Product Care Engineer at Oticon Medical BAHS in Gothenburg.

At Oticon Medical BAHS we develop and market bone anchored hearing systems including permanent implants, sound processors, software, and various accessories. We are now looking to add a great new member to our Operations team were we, among other key tasks, are responsible for purchasing, production, change management and logistics in collaboration with external partners. You report to Head of Operations.

As Product Care Engineer, you will become an important member in ensuring maintenance of our product portfolio and technical documentation. You will be a driver of change orders of different size of task related to our in-market products. You will work with changes related to design adjustments material changes, change of suppliers and implementation of new regulatory requirements. You will have a lot of contact with other stakeholders both internally and externally depending on type of task and be a key to make sure of progress and quality of work.

We will challenge you in a role with a variety of tasks which will require that you can structure, prioritize, and coordinate your own assignments. There will be multiple tasks simultaneously of different size and you will be given flexibility and responsibility to solve your own tasks as we rely on you as our new colleague in supporting our growing organization. You can expect a couple of days of business travel per year.

Main responsibilities

  • Drive and/or work within projects related to Product Care and maintenance of our product portfolio and technical documentation
  • Ensure that drawings, specifications, technical reports, and other relevant documentation are up to date
  • Perform verification testing and sample approval when applicable
  • Collaborate with other departments and external suppliers to ensure product quality in relation to documentation and production activities


Competencies you bring in this role

You come along with a degree in Engineering and working experience, preferably related to product care, engineering & manufacturing of medical devices. You have experience in working with PLM-systems and a good understanding of article structures and how it relates to manufacturing of products. You have experience from working with CAD, preferably CREO. You have a structured and professional way of working and a good technical understanding and interest of products and production environment and are used to working with multiple tasks simultaneously. You are strong in documentation and find it natural as part of project scope.

You are stimulated by building relationships and working in cross functional teams with colleagues and suppliers. Besides that, we expect that you are pragmatic and strive for efficiency in all that you do.
