Scientific Communication Manager (SCM), Neuroscience

This is an exciting opportunity to build and shape a Scientific Communication function in an agile, fast-moving company where your expertise will make a real impact.

The Scientific Communication Manager (SCM), Neuroscience plays a key role in translating complex scientific data into clear, accurate, and engaging content tailored to diverse audiences — including healthcare professionals, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.

This role ensures scientific integrity across all communication channels and supports strategic initiatives through evidence-based messaging. The SCM works in close alignment with the Global Medical Director, Neuroscience, and is responsible for the development and implementation of the publication plan and educational events.

The SCM also supports life cycle management and ensures the scientific accuracy of marketing materials and activities for neuroscience compounds, including project management.

Key Responsibilities

Specifically, the SCM will:

  • Monitor scientific literature, scientific conferences, and competitive intelligence to inform communication strategy
  • Develop and implement an updated yearly and long-term publication plan, including manuscripts and conference communication
  • Develop and manage scientific content for publications, presentations, educational materials, and digital platforms
  • Translate clinical and preclinical data into accessible formats for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, medical writers, and Key Medical Experts
  • Support internal training and external engagement activities (e.g., advisory boards, congresses)
  • Review medical and promotional material
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing, and R&D teams to align messaging

 

Qualifications and Experience

As a suitable candidate, you hold an advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, or MSc) in a related therapeutic area and have at least five years of experience from an international or global role within Medical Affairs, Scientific Communication, or a related field in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

You also bring:

  • Proven ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific data
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH, GPP3, EMA/FDA standards)
  • Experience with digital communication tools and platforms (a plus)
  • Fluency in oral and written English
  • You are living in for example Sweden, Denmark, Germany or in the UK. Relocation not necessary.
