Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Endocrinology, Scandinavia

We are strengthening our Medical Affairs organization and recruiting an experienced, scientifically driven Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support Scandinavia.

Reporting to the Global Medical Program Manager, Endocrinology, the MSL will serve as a trusted scientific partner to Medical Experts, providing deep therapeutic expertise and facilitating the exchange of medical and scientific information. Internally, the MSL supports other functions within the company and assists the global medical affairs organization at national and international meetings and conferences.

Initially, the role will focus on acromegaly, with potential expansion to other disease areas based on pipeline development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality external scientific support to Medical Experts in endocrinology, and internal support to other functions
  • Organize and participate in field-based activities, including local expert meetings, advisory boards, and presentations
  • Act as a local medical contact for company-sponsored clinical trials
  • Handle incoming requests for medical information in the region according to company policies
  • Review and approve product-related materials and activities as a medical signatory, ensuring compliance with relevant policies
  • Ensure Medical Affairs activities comply with the company’s quality system and applicable regulations

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MSc, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Medical Affairs, ideally within Endocrinology
  • Understanding of pituitary disorders is a plus
  • Proven ability to critically analyze and communicate complex scientific data
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with the healthcare landscape in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in at least one local language preferred
  • Experience with Veeva Promomats/Veeva Medinquiry preferred
  • Previous launch experience highly desirable
  • Relevant compliance training (IMA course in Sweden, Danish Marketing Compliance course)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed
