We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – Laboratory Infrastructure and Excellence. You ensure that the HQ Global R&D laboratories and Innovation Centre are properly equipped and meet quality, EHS and regulatory requirements. Securing Laboratory Operational Excellence with improvement projects for laboratory work processes, laboratory digital strategy, external testing management and strategy, purchasing, inventory and waste management of consumables and chemicals are all parts of your responsibility. In short, your team will enable scientific deliveries today and in the future.

What you’ll do

Efficient Equipment Management: Ensure the R&D laboratories have top-quality equipment, secured with timely calibration and maintenance. Accountable for maintaining technical contacts with suppliers for equipment information and support.

Strategic Investment Planning: Drive equipment and facility investment plan, manage resources for execution, and oversee budget for consumables and instrument management.

Data Accessibility and Compliance: Implement effective database management processes to ensure laboratory data accessibility and compliance with quality systems, internal systems management, and maintenance.

Technological and Digital Innovation: Drive scientific and performance excellence by identifying, developing, allocating, and implementing new technologies and tools to support business objectives. Define and drive a strategic roadmap for digitalisation and automation of the laboratory operations.

Regulatory Compliance and Strategic Support: Ensure that regulatory, quality and EHS demands are met, actively contribute to R&D Laboratory & Innovation Centre strategy, oversee outsourcing efforts for tests, providing updated trainings for the organisation.

Team management: Lead the team of engineers and specialists in the above areas and through the managerial year processes, securing team and individual development and team capacity to deliver on business needs.

In 2024 Mölnlycke Health Care is moving to new headquarters in GoCo Health Innovation City. The laboratory Infrastructure and Excellence team will be a key player to secure the establishment of our new state-of-the art laboratories and prototyping facilities.

What you’ll need

  • Leadership experience from line and/or project management positions
  • Strong ability to coach and motivate co-workers
  • Medical devices, R&D and/or Laboratory experience
  • Proven ability to handle complex workflows and diverse stakeholders
  • Performance driven with excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience from working in a cross disciplinary environment
  • Experience from working with operational development
  • Fluent English written and spoken
