As Production manager, you will play a key role in driving the operational excellence of our company. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Production (Supply chain management, Procurement, Production and Production planning, Logistics). We are working with an external CMO for our manufacturing of preparative silica and you are in the role as production manager also accountable for this relation. We are therefore looking for someone with technical skills as well as having the commercial knowledge required for this role.
This position is a Senior Management position, reporting to the CEO. Apart from a competitive remuneration package including bonus, you’ll be part of building a world-class company together with very experienced colleagues. You will be an important part of developing the silica production of the future, hence contributing to more patients having access to vital medicines globally.
Your main tasks:
Production and Supply Chain Management: Ensure smooth and efficient production processes, optimize supply chain operations, and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing operations team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
Process Owner: The product that we manufacture are complex and therefore process development and oversight are key success facors
Establish new manufacturing: Our client has diversified its product range beyond silica and we are therefore looking to establish new manufacturing capabilities. Currently, all manufacturing operations are outsourced to third parties. However, as stability is achieved, there is potential to transition some or all of the manufacturing processes in-house, necessitating the construction of our own facilities.
Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key KPI’s to measure the effectiveness of operational processes and implementing improvements as needed
Qualifications and Experience
- Solid experience in Operations (manufacturing/contract manufacturing, Supply Chain management, logistics, procurement). Preferably within the food or pharmaceutical industry
- Strong background in process chemistry and or API manufacturing
- Experience in managing operations in a global context, dealing with diverse stakeholders and cultures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with focus on data-driven decision-making
- Proven track record of successfully leading and developing cross-functional teams
- A degree in engineering or a related field is preferred
Swedish language is a requirement for this position.
