Neuromodulation is the second-oldest and fourth-largest of Medtronic’s business units. It was formed as we transferred our expertise in heart electrical stimulation to treat diseases and conditions involving the nervous system. Today, our products include Neurostimulation systems and implantable drug delivery systems for chronic pain, common movement disorders, and urologic and gastrointestinal disorders.
To consolidate our Pain Business, we are recruiting a Therapy Development Specialist focusing on Pain Therapies for the North part of Sweden.
The role as a Therapy Development Specialist
As a member of the Scandinavian sales team you are responsible for sales, service and clinical support in the Pain therapies business. Concretely, your focus will be on the spinal cord stimulation therapy, which is one of most developing therapies within neuromodulation. You will work with existing and new customers in the north region of Sweden – focusing on Stockholm, Uppsala, Gävle and Umeå.
You will also assist in identifying key decision makers, opinion leaders and referrals, extend existing accounts and develop entirely new ones. Building strong and lasting relationships is important.
In addition to sales responsibility for the region, the role is expected to take care of direct service, implant support and programming devices for customers. In addition, you also have the responsibility to train and educate relevant hospital staff. Maintaining and acquiring knowledge on new product, technologies, therapies and processes is highly important to perform this job.
To be successful as a Therapy Development Specialist you have:
- A demonstrated track record in sales (3+ years) within the hospital environment
- A results- quality- and service-oriented mind with a high degree of integrity
- The willingness to move in an OR environment
- The ability to listen to colleagues of different levels with an ability to understand and to execute plans.
- The mindset of a service-oriented team player concerned with helping people, both internally and externally.
We think that you are someone with advanced presentation and negotiation skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, all necessary to establish good working relationships with a wide range of customers. It is also important that you can work independently with a high level of time management skills.
It is essential that you speak Swedish and English fluently as well as that you have a full, and clean, driver’s license.
The position is field-based, preferably in a location with easy access to the hospitals in the region. You will report to the Sales Manager for Manager for Pain & TDD Therapies.
