Job Scope

Pharmacosmos is a world leading specialist in Iron Therapy and our ambition is to empower Health Care Professionals to provide optimal Iron Therapy for patients suffering from Iron Deficiency and anemia and thereby improve patient outcomes. Iron deficiency has serious impact on patient’s quality of life and is associated with increased morbidity and mortality.

Iron Deficiency is widespread and can be a consequence of a wide variety of disorders, such as kidney disease, inflammatory bowel disease, heart disease and blood loss in general. The focus of Pharmacosmos thus spans many different medical specialities such as gastroenterology, cardiology, surgery, nephrology, and OBGYN. The potential for market expansion in many of these areas is huge.

Pharmacosmos is looking for a Business Manager, a field-based and commercial position that will work with our products for treatmeent of iron deficiency anaemia. Our lead brand Monofer® (iron isomaltoside 1000) is an intravenous (IV) iron treatment. In the Nordic region Monofer is marketed by a fully-owned subsidiary of Pharmacosmos.

The Business Manager will be accountable for coordinating Resources across their region, developing the account structure to support optimal patient care and deliver succesful sales, aligned with the strategic plans.

The Business Manager will work closely together with the Scandinavian Sales team, The Nurse Advisory team and Medical Affairs. He/she will report to Sales Manager Scandinavia.

Key responsibilites

  • Responsible for the sales in the region
  • Responsibility over the product marketing plan and budget
  • Prepare sales activity plans to meet all objectives within allocated budget and activity
  • Develop and maintain long term business relationships and on a daily basis arrange meetings with target customers
  • Engage with KOLs, regional payers and prescribers through concrete projects
  • Monitor own objectives regarding sales & marketing targets, activities and budget
  • Contribute to the competitive intelligence insights and identify opportunities
  • Help define product strategy, needed promotional tools and relevant projects
  • Drive tender process
  • Contribute to the competitive intelligence insights and identify opportunities

Professional Qualifications

  • Several years of experience within sales as well as relationship building within the health sector
  • Documented track record of delivering consistent and excellent sales performance
  • Demonstrated ability to craft efficient and targeted territory business plans and implement those succesfully
  • Possess relevant experience from the health sector, especially working with a professional and specialist dominated environment
  • Preferred location is Stockholm, Uppsala or Mälardalen

Educational background

  • University degree
  • Clinical background is an advantage
  • Previous experience from working within areas such as gastroenterology, nephrology and/or cardiology
  • Experience from working with tenders is an advantage

Personal qualifications

  • Proactive and results oriented team player with high integrity
  • Customer oriented, self-driven and self-motivated
  • Positive person with the ability to be creative and think our of the box
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and good cross functional collaboration is important
